The "Tree Studio" offers
favorable painting conditions...
2 Studios are on the property...
There are 2 "studios" on the Kerebel property. One is the painting studio situated high up on stilts, nestled in the trees, located on some of the most untamed and undeveloped coastline of Moorea. There is no lagoon at this point of the coast, so the waves come crashing in here with awesome power.

A wide angle view of the ocean from the studio allows lots of natural light to filter in, and the windows are often left open to allow in the ocean air, as well.

Could any of this be a factor in Alain's painting brilliance? Alain says maybe... along with other factors unexplainable.

(This is not ordinary art..) The kind of works that are born from this oceanside studio are highly original and respectively collectable paintings of a world class nature. Alain's paintings have recieved worldwide recognition and he is often written about in various art publications around the region.

Working with oils on canvas, the majority of his works are in the size range of 24" x 36" and larger, with prices starting at around $2500.00 for the smaller ones. His paintings follow a variety of themes, but unless your an art critic, one can't really accurately classify Alain's paintings or guess what he'll paint next. He likes African designs and ideas, island visions, and animals, among other things. Unusual portraits and abstract ideas of an urban nature are also seen...

Some examples of the kinds of work generated recently are seen on this page. (Of course this website can't really do the true colors of the paintings justice, it can only give you an idea of whats been in Alains brain recently...)

The second studio is the Jewelry making shop at the opposite end of the property. This is where Alain and Joselyne design and put together their fabulous specialty jewelry peices. They work with the highest quality gold and the finest Tahitian Black Pearls available on the island.

Their designs don't always follow traditional styles commonly seen in the islands of the Pacific. One could almost say theres a "wild west" theme to some of them. (Don't miss "The Duck" model some of the Kerebel's Fine Necklaces!)

One might also take note that the unique Jewelry peices of the KEREBEL'S aren't for the low budget tourist.(i.e.: this isn't the place to come to buy that $50.00 pearl ring you forgot to get in Papeete...)
